Best Dim Sum in San Francisco

Koi Palace

A well known yum cha and dinner restaurant where birthdays and holidays often take place. Often booked out for the night and dim sum waiting can take up to 2 hours. Their vision is to serve the finest chinese cruisne.

  • From experience of going to this restaurant at least 3 times a year, I always order the delicous peking duck.

  • They have all the classic dim sum like siu mai or steamed pork buns, but they also have new ones like colored soup dumplings.

  • The interior of the restaurant and friendly staff make it feel like an authentic experience.

Begoni Bistro

Located on the edge of Chinatown we have Begoni Bistro. Established in 2015. Their atomshpere is very open and friendly.
  • I suggest getting there early as tables fill up quick right at opening.

  • Price might be a little high but the quality makes up for it. The persvered egg porridge is chef kisses.

  • Their twist is having an open bar on the side inside the of restaurant.

Dragon Beaux

In the morning they serve tea and dim sum and during the evening they flip the tables and serve hotpot. Brain Child of the long time restaurant couple, Willy Ng and Jenny Huang. Founders of Koi Palace. (listed above) The definition of a modern twist on a dim sum restaurant.

  • They have attentive service, contemporary ambiance, and exceptional food.

  • Their hot pot selection is high quality. Kobe Beef from Australlia and locally raised Waygu Beef.

  • Must try the squid ink dumplings and "lantern beef".
